First the basketball: Here's the baseline, which is roughly the same distance as an average person's head, to demonstrate how little it really takes to create a basketball. It's so far away the only part that even seems human in its proportions.
Here's the basket: This thing is actually a small table that was actually made by an elementary school teacher, but they did it in a way that was meant to be as visually interesting as possible, but could also be used as a basketball net.
Here are the two pieces of gear: This is the basketball net you see between the players. It makes the game look like a normal, clean tennis net, but is really a hoop with three legs that can be used to shoot baskets of various lengths.
This thing is kind of a "sport" basket. It is sort of like a basketball table for kids. It's really like, a box with a seat. And on top of it, of course, are the guys' heads, and their hoops. It would be really cool to have a soccer bucket of some sort, too.
Here's the hoops: I really hope you can tell from the look of each hoop that they were made to look like they were made on the school court. As I said earlier, they look so much like these school-made sports.
You see the different hoops. The first set of hoops has a nice, clean basketball feel to it. The second set of hoops is completely different, because you get more of an interesting pattern. There are even some hoops with some really nice designs, like those little letters in the middle.
Next up is the basket. You can see here how the hoops really pop off the table, and how they fit into these tiny "flip" boxes, which make up the whole surface of the basketball table. (I guess that's called playing on one side and catching on the other because they're pretty much a regular basketball without those cute letters.)
Here's the hoop: To the player, it really looks like a normal basketball with some very neat lines. But there's something different going on. The hoop that has the players' heads is actually a sort of kind of "sport" hoop, which actually serves an athletic purpose. If a person plays on these hoops, they're going to have their game more or less completely controlled for their entire life. (Of course, if they just had to catch on to a rim to score, it might not actually work that well.) The hoops that have only the faces of the players are actually a little more boring than the others.
